Planning to screen in a porch, patio, or other outdoor space? Choosing the right screen system starts with understanding your framing, mounting style, and material needs. With two system options and six screen fabric choices, it helps to know what to look for before getting started. We’ve broken the process down into four simple steps to help you identify the right SCREENEZE solution, calculate the materials you’ll need, and find a dealer or installer for your project.

Understand the Two Systems
At its core, SCREENEZE is a two-part system consisting of an aluminum base channel and a PVC vinyl cap. The first step is understanding the difference between our two systems: SCREENEZE and SNAPTRACK.
As you compare the displays, you’ll notice that SCREENEZE features an L-shaped aluminum base channel, while SNAPTRACK uses a T-shaped design. This difference is important because the track design helps determine how the system attaches to your existing framing. Identifying your framing setup early will help you choose the right system for your project.

Identify Your Mounting Style
Once you understand the differences between the two track systems, the next step is identifying your mounting style. SCREENEZE accommodates both corner-mount and flush-mount installations, while SNAPTRACK is designed for face-mount applications.
Each mounting style offers a different way to attach the track to your existing framing, so it’s important to understand how your structure is built before choosing a system. Calculate Your Linear Footage and Choose Your Fabric
After selecting your system and mounting style, determine how much track you’ll need. Because SCREENEZE is a stationary framing system, you calculate linear footage by measuring the perimeter of the opening you want to screen.
For example, a 5-foot-by-5-foot opening has four sides measuring 5 feet each. That means you’ll need 20 linear feet of track (4 sides × 5 feet = 20 linear feet).
To help plan your project, visit our Estimate Page for additional guidance on estimating the materials you’ll need.
Next, choose the screen fabric that best fits your needs. SCREENEZE offers six fabric options with different features and benefits, allowing you to find the right fit for your project.
